What can I sew for Valentine’s Day?

Like I already said, if you search online there are gazillions of sewing projects you can make with fabric scraps at any time of year. And Valentine’s Day is no different.

I was looking for some fresh ideas and although there are so many lovely fabric projects out there, the majority of them are little stuffed hearts. Sure, they’re cute, no doubt.

But after making 1 or 2 or 22 of these hearts from scrap fabrics, then what next???

So, I searched even further and picked out a handful of projects that were my favourites that I wanted to share with you.

If you’re looking for more than just another fluff-filled fabric heart sewing project this February 14th and running out of time to search, you’re in the right place!

Below you’ll find 5 fun, quick and easy Valentine’s sewing project ideas that you can use around your home as seasonal décor or give to those who love.

01. Simple Hanging Heart

Now I know I just said that making a polyester-stuff heart is cute but not necessarily original. BUT…

This is no ordinary Valentine’s heart. It’s completely original and makes use of fabric scraps, buttons, ribbons and book pages.

Wait! What? Book pages?!?

Yes, this project incorporates paper and fabrics together for a gorgeous heart-shaped hanger.
