Nothing says warmer weather and sunshine like bright colours, a garden full of flowers, bees humming, pottering around in the garden, the taste of strawberries **drool**, Spring cleaning and some refreshing updates of home décor.

Spring sewing projects to use up your fabric stash

If you’re anything like every other typical sewing fan, you’re sure to have a collection of leftover fabric bits and pieces stashed away for “another time” or “just in case” scenarios.

Well, after a bit of Spring cleaning, those pieces might have seen the light of day again and now it’s their time to shine!

All of the sewing projects here could be made using leftover pieces of fabric you already have in your own or even by upcycling some unwanted garments you were going to donate! No need to waste time and money shopping for small amounts of fabric AND you clear out some of the fabric clutter in your home. Win-win!

This sewing tutorial walks you though how to sew fabric storage cubes in any size you need. Small, large, square or rectangle, with a little bit of maths you can create baskets to suit the spaces in your home. And of course, you can use a variety of fabrics that you have in your stash if you don’t want to buy anything new.
